Genshin Impact’s 1.1 Update is Coming on November 11th, Adding New Quests, Heroes, and More

After a long and tantalising pre-release period, Genshin Impact launched a month ago to universal acclaim and commercial success beyond anybody’s wildest dreams, recouping its development costs in a fortnight.

So a very large number of players will no doubt be delighted to learn that the game’s first big update – entitled A New Star Approaches – is just around the corner. It’s due to arrive on November the 11th.

Version 1.1 of miYoHo’s Breath of the Wild-inspired gacha RPG promises to be fairly substantial. For a start, it’ll add a series of brand new quests, including the finale to the Liyue chapter of the existing game.

In addition, four new playable characters are set to arrive, two of which – Childe and Zhongli – and five star heroes. The other two are four stars, and they’re called Xinyan and Diona.

Genshin Impact’s first seasonal event is set to begin as well. Called Unreconciled Stars, it sees players fighting back against a sudden and terrible catastrophe. It lasts for two weeks, contains quests, and results in rewards.

There’s also a new Reputation system, which will be city-specific, so you’ll e able to build up your standing in each specific region of the game.

You’ve got all that to look forward to on November the 11th. For now, you can download Genshin Impact for free on the Google Play Store.
