Since Halfbrick Studios mentioned they were making a game called Machine Gun Jetpack, which later was changed to Jetpack Joyride, we have been telling our readers that it would be coming to Android at some point. We knew it would be arriving, we just didn’t know exactly when. Well after a rather long wait, Jetpack Joyride is finally here.
For those of you unfamiliar with the game, Jetpack Joyride has you playing as Barry Steakfries, our hero from Halfbrick’s other game called Age of Zombies, but this time instead of dealing with zombies in a variety of different eras in time, you will be endlessly flying through the game wearing a jetpack, collecting coins, avoid traps and shooting your enemies.

– Break in to a secret laboratory to commandeer the cool experimental jetpacks
– Start off with the legendary Machine Gun Jetpack to scatter the evil scientists
– Pick your favorite jetpack and snazzy outfit and stock up on items to help your mission
Jetpack Joyride comes with a whole lot of upgrades that you can purchase using the coins you collect from each run as you try to escape the laboratory with your jetpack. However, there is also a whole lot of items you can buy through in-game purchases as well.
For those of you who have been waiting almost a year since we said Jetpack Joyride would be coming to Android, you can now pick up a copy for free if you have access to the Amazon AppStore. No word on whether or not Jetpack Joyride will eventually be released onto Google Play or when that will happen.
