A new gacha SRPG is on the horizon, and it’s called Mist Sequence! Interesting game titles aside, the art style for this gacha is quite stunning, to say the least.

If you’d like to learn more about Mist Sequence, you can visit the game’s official BiliBili page or the TapTap page.

Is There a Mist Sequence Global Release Date?

Sadly, it’s only available in China as of right now. There aren’t any further details regarding when the global release will be – that is if we’re even getting one.

To be honest, it’s not doing too well over on BiliBili at the moment, with an overall rating of 7.4 at the time of writing. Still, even if it’s not standout, it doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s no secret that the gacha market is oversaturated these days, so it takes more than pretty, well-designed characters to maintain the interest of players.

With a long-running beta, it’s probably going to be quite some time before we even get a chance to sign up for a CBT. Then again, the game might not even make it to global servers. There’s a plethora of gacha games that never branch out from the region that they originally launched in.

Can it Stand Out From the Crowd?

Mist Sequence reminds me a lot of Arknights. Not just because of the dark world-building, but the actual gameplay too. Both games utilise tactical combat on the battlefield with tile-based movement – so how can this game differentiate itself enough from its predecessor?

Arknights is one of the most successful gacha game and it continues to be as time goes on. Going up against titles like this, and being very similar to them, is a surefire way to cash in on the initial hype. But will players stick around?

It might be a while until we get to play Mist Sequence (or get a CBT), so why not check out our Best Android Gacha Games guide?
