Supercell is letting players dive into the world of monster hunting with their new MMORPG. It’s mo.co which is now out on soft launch on Android. The catch is that you’ll need an invite to get in as it’s an ‘invite only launch.’

How to Get In?

The way Supercell is handling the launch is a little unusual. The game is technically live but you’ll need an invite to play. The game is up on the Google Play Store where you can simply go ahead and download it. The code is required after you install it.

For the first two days, content creators are dropping codes that expire quickly (20 minutes at first, then extending to 24 hours). After 48 hours, you’ll need to register on the site and hope to get access, though players who reach level 5 will be able to invite others.

The good news is that progress will carry over, so this isn’t just a test. To see what the game has to offer, you can watch this latest mo.co trailer that Supercell dropped for the soft launch.

What’s the Game’s Premise?

mo.co takes a more arcade-style approach to monster hunting. It’s more fast-paced and accessible than something like Monster Hunter. You play as a hunter tasked with tracking down and eliminating Chaos Monsters. They are creatures from parallel worlds that have invaded Earth.

The combat is an isometric hack-and-slash style. You can unleash combos, use gadgets and upgrade your gear to take down the biggest threats. mo.co has PvP modes, including free-for-all battles and team-based fights.

mo.co is steering clear of pay-to-win mechanics. Supercell says all their monetization is purely cosmetic for stuff like outfits and accessories but you won’t have to pay for better weapons or stat boosts.

That wraps up our scoop on the mo.co soft launch. Meanwhile, check our next scoop on Star Wars: Hunters’ Shutdown Even Before Turning One!
