Mutazione is a new game that has landed on Android today. It made its debut in 2019 on PC and consoles. Now, it’s out on mobile. It’s by developer Die Gute Fabrik and publisher Akupara Games. The latter is the publisher of hit mobile games like Universe For Sale, The Darkside Detective, Zoeti and Whispering Willows.

What Is Mutazione?

The game follows 15-year-old Kai, who travels to a mysterious town to take care of her grandfather, Nonno. The town was formed after a meteor called Moon Dragon slammed into a tropical resort over 100 years ago. Most people didn’t survive, and the ones who did were mutated.

The rescue teams gave up, the world moved on, and the odd little settlement of Mutazione took root. So, the town is a close-knit, curious place of a mutant community. The relationships are messy and secrets run deep, with some supernatural instances happening here and there.

For Kai, the friendly faces around town come with their own baggage. There’s tension, betrayal, and a shadowy figure that keeps haunting her dreams. Mutazione is a narrative-rich game with an undoubtedly interesting plot.

The game has beautifully hand-drawn environments in neutral saturated colours. On that note, take a look at it below.

Will You Try It?

Despite all the sci-fi setup, Mutazione has a quiet, personal storytelling. It has mystery, soap opera vibes and emotional healing presented in an adventure game.

The game lets you explore at your own pace as you plant and grow musical gardens. These gardens form their own relaxing soundscapes, and you can even trade rare seeds with friends.

Now that Mutazione has landed on mobile, it’s finally available across all major platforms. The mobile version is priced at $9.99, and there’s a 10% launch discount running for a limited time. So, grab it from the Google Play Store.
