Chickenrun Xmas Present Edition is a new free holiday version of a currently existing Chickenrun game that is simple and addictive. While this game starts off fairly easy, it quickly gets a lot more challenging when it comes to actually staying alive.
So today is the day after Christmas, or in Canada it is also known as Boxing Day where everyone loses their minds trying to score the best deals in stores. In other words it is Canada’s version of Black Friday. While this is going on, and we hope our Canadian readers are safe but securing themselves some killer deals, we want to know what everyone got for Christmas this year.
So it has been a little over a year since we announced that we would start streaming Android games on TwitchTV. Back then it wasn’t the easiest thing to set up since at that time there was no real support for mobile game streaming on any mobile platform. There was a lot of testing and tweaking of settings, lots of test streams as well. Now it is much easier to stream and we’ve already been streaming games on our TwtichTV channel. However we haven’t had an official ‘launch’ yet.
As we get closer to the big day, that day being Christmas, more and more games are going on sale on Google Play. In fact right now there is a lot of games discounted for the holiday season and when December 24th arrives, and a couple of days following it, there will be even more titles on sale.
Last night Nvidia began pushing out a new OTA update for their Nvidia Shield Tablet which will bring Android 5.0.1 Lollipop to owners of said tablet. There is actually quite a lot of enhancements that will arrive once you have 5.0.1 installed including live HD effects for the camera, SHIELD power control and memory optimizations.
Last year at around this time Amazon offers up plenty of freebies for everyone to snag and enjoy for the holiday season. This year Amazon is doing this once again, offering everyone with access to the Amazon AppStore a total of $220 in free games and applications for a limited time.
One thing we can definitely say is that the Samsung Gear VR headset is certainly getting a decent amount of support from game developers. There is already a decent selection of games available and more are being added all the time. Today Climax Studio has announced that they will be releasing their first Samsung Gear VR game soon called Bandit Six.
This week the Nvidia GRID was given two racing games, F1 2010 and DiRT: Showdown. They are availble for free to stream to anyone with a Nvidia Shield Portable or Shield Tablet.
Temple Run has evolved once again. This time instead of being an endless runner for your Android phone or tablet, or an endless runner themed after a Disney movie, this new evolution of Temple Run brings the game into the world of virtual reality.
What some would argue as one of the best Star Wars games to be released, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic has finally made its way to Android devices today thanks to Aspyr Media and Bioware. This is the full Action-RPG that was released for the Xbox back in 2003.
