Since the release and subsequent pulling of Flappy Birds off of Google Play, there have been a plethora of clones and spin-offs of the original game. We mean there is a LOT of them. The creator of Canabalt was a part of the recent Flappy Jam and took his Canabalt game a meshed it with the idea behind Flappy Bird to create Flappybalt.

Disney has announced over Twitter that they are currently working on a new game called Star Wars: Assault Team. Judging from the lone screenshot and the few details about this game released, it looks like it will be another TCG title that will be released onto all mobile platforms including Android.
We don’t need to rehash Nintendo’s standpoint about bringing any of their games to mobile devices other than their own. Everyone knows their stance on this by now. The same goes for a lot of titles made by third party developers who call Nintendo their home and this includes Animal Crossing’s creator Katsuya Eguchi. However Katsuya does have some interest in the mobile field.
Originally released in 1987 Wonder Momo: Typhoon Booster was a pretty popular game, even founding a webcomic that has been out almost since its release. Even though this is a classic game, it is now being re-released by Namco Bandai for Nvidia Shield owners today.

DotEmu’s newest game announcement is for a rather cool game a lot of people have played already back in the day called Little Big Adventure. Along with the announcement of this game heading to Android soon, DotEmu also gave us a specific release date to look forward to and a trailer to keep us tied over till the game’s release.
Facebook buys Oculus Rift for $2 billion, what does this mean for the mobile gaming compatibility?
Well this is probably the biggest surprise we’ve had in quite some time. Facebook has purchased the virtual reality hardware maker Oculus Rift for $2 billion. You’re probably wondering why in the hell we are covering this. We are because the Oculus Rift was going to have Android compatibility in gaming and now we have no idea what future this has, if any at all.
Polarbit has had bit of a quite spell as of late in regards to releasing games onto Android. However it looks like that is finally changing with the release of a new game called Rail Racing. Of course it would be a racing game, it is one of the things that Polarbit does best right?
Back in February 2014 we talked about a new Warhammer 40K game heading to Android from developers Eutechnyx called Warhammer 40K: Storm of Vengeance. While the actual game was slated for release tomorrow (this has changed), future plans for this title have been announced and what we can expect is plenty of DLC goodies to be heading our way in the near future.
There are plenty of Android-powered game consoles already out for consumers to get their hands on and another one up on Kickstarter called Equiso Play. This new one definitely has the potential to be a great product from what we’ve seen of it already.

Nvidia’s next OTA update for their Nvidia Shield portable gaming system will feature a host of new enhancements and improvements to existing features such as their GameStream technology and the Gamepad Mapper. All of this will be arriving next month for Nvidia Shield owners.
