Despite Nintendo’s insistence that mobile games are “cheap”, it is surprising to find that its lead franchise creator enjoys some Angry Birds. According to an interview with Edge, Shigeru Miyamoto, the mind behind classic franchise such as Legend of Zelda, Super Mario and a slew of other Nintendo series. has admitted that Angry Birds by Rovio was his favorite game of the past year.
With over 50 million players worldwide and 10 million runners on Android alone, its safe to say that Temple Run is the new Angry Birds of Android 2012 (alongside Angry Birds Space of course). A new 3D action-arcade game is heading our way sometime at the end of this month (April) called Monster of Puppets which is being published by NuOxygen. Originally developed by Drakkar Dev, Monster of Puppets will be a rather dark tap & slash type of game for Android.

Another one in currently in the works called The Bluecoats – North & South which is being remade for mobile by Microids. For those of you unfamiliar with this game, The Bluecoats is an action-strategy game set during the Civil War period.
