Ubiquitous Media Inc’s survival game called “The Whoops! Desert Island” has been released, exclusively in Korean, at least for now. Sort of the same way Game Dev Story came out, first in Asia then translated and released globally. The point of the game is that you’re shipwrecked on an island and you have to survival.
We reported yesterday that GT Motor Racing Academy was starting to show up on the mobile version of Gameloft’s web-based store. Today we now have a semi-live page on the actual desktop web-based store. Some of it isn’t loading but if you click the Buy Now link, it does go to payment processing so you should be able to buy it, if not soon.
Today we found news that NEC will be announcing their new dual-screen Android tablet at CES in just one month. That’s right, you read correctly. This will be a dual-screen tablet which could be huge for our gaming itch when it comes to the tablet market. This could get really fun and interesting with gaming!

Big name veteran game developer Konami announced today that they have 2 games ready for the glasses-free Sharp Galapagos phones that recently landed in Japan and soon the US as well. “Mobile Pawafuru Proyaku 3D” and “Golfriends!” are the names of the two games for these pretty cool Android devices.
Gameloft has certainly been keeping themselves in the spotlight lately with all the new games being released for Android, others leaked out as coming soon titles, billing issues and now their games being on GetJar. Well great news for everyone who has wanted Need for Speed: Shift by EA Mobile but has not had it available to them. You can now go to the Android Market and buy the game! After a very long time, at least it seems that way, of being exclusive only to certain phones such as the Droid 2, EA Mobile has finally put NFS: Shift onto the market.

This is a nice looking 3D action game where you play as the web sling himself against some of his biggest enemies.
