[UPDATE: Game Released] Pixelbite Games Flips the Script: Tactical Adventure Space Marshals Coming to Android Soon

Pixelbite Games is no stranger to the game industry. Based in Helsingborg, Sweden, the game studio is most well known for their Reckless Racing Series, and the Repulze series, which is also a racing game, but set in the distant future. Pixelbite Games has now moved in a totally different direction. Their latest title coming to Android is Space Marshals. It is an impressive looking tactical adventure game that is set to arrive in April.

[UPDATE: Friday, April 10th, 3:56 AM, PST] Your next tactical space-western adventure is now available to download in the Google Play Store. Space Marshals by Pixelbite Games has been released. The price to download the game is $4.99. There are no in-app purchases with this game. The link to download the game can be found at the end of this article.

[UPDATE: Thursday, April 9th, 4:22 AM – PST] Pixelbite Games posted on its’ blog a couple of days ago, that the release date for Space Marshals will be Friday, April 10th. Sometime tomorrow, we will be able to download the action Sci-Fi Western. The game will be available to download in the Google Play Store and the Amazon App Store for $4.99, and there will be no in-app purchases. Once the game goes live in both stores, we will update this article.

It is always interesting to see what projects a game studio chooses to develop next. Sometimes they stay within their comfort zone, or the wheelhouse that has made them successful. At other times, they branch out and do something new, that you wouldn’t expect from them. Space Marshals seems to fit in the latter category for Pixelbite Games.

The Reckless Racing series is a well-polished and fun set of racing games. The quality of work put into each title is evident from the game menus, undulating tracks, number of vehicles and depth of game play. From what we have seen of Space Marshals, Pixelbite Games continues to create enjoyable digital content, that is wrapped up with slick visuals and well-designed environments.

“Space Marshals is a Sci-fi Wild West adventure taking place in outer space! This tactical top-down shooter puts you in the shoes of specialist Burton on the mission of saving the galaxy from the most dangerous criminals. Space Marshals is all about a premium tactical combat experience. Use stealth, gadgets, cunning and/or excessive violence to complete your objectives in a wild west inspired future.” – Pixelbite Games

Space Marshals was released on iOS last year to much acclaim. We were hoping that it would come to Android. Waiting in this case has proven to be a good thing, because Space Marshals’ delivery system is episodic. Three chapters are planned for release. Chapters one and two are set to be released for Android in April. Chapter two is being made available as free downloadable content for iOS users next month as well.

Space Marshals is a premium game. Though we cannot yet confirm what the price will be for Android, Chapter one was released on iOS for $4.99. We expect the Android version will be priced similarly. The excellent thing about this premium game is that the additional chapters are free downloads and there is no in-app purchases in the game.

Space Marshals Features:

– Tactical top-down shooter
– Episodic storyline in 3 chapters
– Wide range of weapons and gear
– Performance based mission rewards
– Multiple factions to fight with or against – or pitch against each other
– Dual stick controls with a set of different options

We are excited about the pending release of Space Marshals. It appears Pixelbite games has put together a compelling character and storyline, and wrapped it up in a nice playable package for gamers. We won’t have to wait much longer before we are able to step into the boots of Specialist Burton in this Sci-fi western adventure. In the meantime, check out the trailers for chapters one and two. The screenshots are from chapters one and two as well. Anybody else excited about this new tactical adventure from Pixelbite Games?
