Pokémon GO has announced the High Voltage event with some exciting debuts and encounters. The event runs from November 18th at 10:00 a.m. until November 22nd, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Keep reading to get the full scoop.

Pokémon GO High Voltage is electrifying

For the first time ever, Shiny Morpeko is joining the game. Trainers might come across it through Field Research, paid Timed Research, the Collection Challenge, GO Battle League, or even in surprise snapshot encounters.

The wild encounters during High Voltage will also be buzzing with Electric-types. Pokémon like Emolga, Dedenne, and Togedemaru will appear more frequently, while Shinx adds to the lineup with its shiny version. On top of that, there’s an increased chance to find Shiny Emolga, Shiny Dedenne, and Shiny Togedemaru.

Bonuses during the event are all about rewarding skill and activity. You’ll earn 2× XP for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better, plus 2× Stardust for every catch. It’s a good time to stock up on Stardust for future battles or trades.

Event-themed Field Research will be available, offering encounters with Pokémon like Magnemite, Yamper, and Morpeko. There’s also a new Collection Challenge focused on catching Pokémon, which will grant XP, Stardust, and an encounter with Morpeko once completed.

Meanwhile, the Poké Lid Stamp Rally is happening for real!

Japan is getting an extra treat with the Poké Lid Stamp Rally. Starting November 7th, 2025, players in the Kyushu and Okinawa regions can begin exploring real-world Poké Lids. These are decorative manhole covers featuring different Pokémon designs.

It’s all happening through a themed in-game rally. This feature arrives alongside Pokémon GO Wild Area: Nagasaki, connecting the digital game to the physical art scattered across Japan. The rally will expand to other regions later, including Hokkaido and Tohoku, Kanto, Chubu, Kinki, and Chugoku and Shikoku.
