Vault of the Void has just launched its first DLC class: The Weaver. After months of anticipation, you’ll finally get to dive into the tangled threads of silk and power. The DLC brings both playful and strategic features to the otherwise intricate deck mechanics of the game.
See how far The Weaver’s pets will go to help her dominate the Void!
The Weaver is a summoner-style class that introduces a completely new way to play Vault of the Void. She builds her strength by weaving a team of Pets. They are creatures made of silk, shadow, and strange charm.
The focus this time is on tactical deck-building through the new Pet cards. It allows you to create a line-up of companions that fight and evolve throughout encounters. With her cute spider-like allies, The Weaver’s abilities hide a more sinister side associated with an old Guardian.
The DLC adds more than 90 new cards and 50 unique artefacts. The Weaver also comes with 3 new Challenge Coins, though she can be used with the 20 existing ones as well. She’s built to be approachable yet deeply complex.
How exactly does The Weaver change the gameplay of Vault of the Void?
Her gameplay is centred around filling limited Pet slots. Pets can be buffed with AP (Attack Power) and then Unravelled to deal damage or trigger other effects. Even after attacking, Unravelled Pets deal their AP as damage.
Some Pets can even duplicate themselves, so you can replay them at higher AP values after Unraveling. The board can quickly become a living web of buffs, attacks, and consumable creatures, all interacting in unpredictable ways.
