Pokémon Go Lustrous Odyssey Is Dropping On January 6th!

Pokemon Go Lustrous Odyssey

Niantic is still riding the New Year wave throwing new surprises for Trainers worldwide. Pokémon GO is dropping a new event Lustrous Odyssey. It starts on January 6 at 10 AM and wraps up on January 10 at 8 PM local time, coinciding with the Rowlet Community Day. Keep reading to know more about Pokémon Go Lustrous Odyssey!

Here’s the lowdown!

The spotlight of the event is the exclusive Dusk Form of Lycanroc, a rock-type Pokémon that’s an evolved form of Rockruff. You can also snag more Lycanroc options, like the Midday and Midnight Forms. The Dusk Form is a calm and collected version of Lycanroc and a mix of Midday and Midnight forms.

Lycanroc is all about staying loyal to trainers they really vibe with and packing a serious punch in battles. When things get intense, they either go for a direct attack or hit back with counterattacks that really wallop foes, dishing out double damage.

In the wild, you’ll spot more Pokémon during the event, including their shiny versions. So, keep an eye out for Eevee, Espeon, Growlithe, Hisuian Sneasel, Rhyhorn, Lunatone, Morelull, Lapras, and Wyrdeer. You can catch them through one-star raids, three-star raids or Field Research encounters.

Don’t miss Part 2 of the Timeless Travels Special Research, where you’ll scoop up XP and Stardust and meet Rockruff. Your eggs are in for a treat as Rockruff is hatching from both 2KM and 7KM Eggs. Your Buddy Pokémon will be extra chatty, bringing you more Souvenirs and Presents. Feed them some Berries or Poffins, and they will stick around on the map longer. How Lustrous Is The Odyssey?

Well, frankly speaking, Pokémon Go Lustrous Odyssey isn’t that lustrous. The reason? The event features a Pokémon that’s not doing much except when it gets a major moveset fast. Plus, we don’t even know if the pre-evolution will be popping up more often in the wild or if it can even evolve into a new form.

But hey, on the flip side, let’s hope that Dusk Lycanrock gets a snazzy new moveset. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for better surprises in the future, right? Before you head out, check out our latest scoop on Third Closed Beta Test For Persona 5: The Phantom X Dropping Soon.
