Poll: Have you made an in-app purchase for consumable items before?

Some time back, we published an editorial entitled “In-App Purchases: The Downfall of Android Gaming?”. In the three months between the article getting published and now, the number of games being released for free, or even paid, that contains IAPs for consumable items have increased exponentially. To be honest, finding a game devoid of some form or another of consumable IAPs these days is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

What we’d like to know is, with it being impossible for an Android gamer of any nature to not have encountered IAPs for consumable items in games, have you succumbed and thrown some cash that way? Or are you still a skeptic and holding true to your principal of not splurging any cash on IAPs of such nature?

We’re keeping things real short this week, so do cast a vote in the poll below and expand on your thoughts in the comments section.

{module 216}

Results from our previous poll are as follows. The fact that exactly half of Android gamers who were polled have a good gaming experience in general is an interesting find. I was personally expecting lower figures.

Q: How satisfactory is your gaming experience on Android? Total votes: 296

Good – 50%
I can’t complain much – 39.2 %
Bad – 10.8 %
