The popular action RPG Punishing: Gray Raven begins testing for PC, as Kuro Technology confirms the test dates. The developer reveals that the test will run from March 1-9.

Punishing: Gray Raven is a super-stylised, fast-paced action RPG. The game follows the Gray Raven special forces as they prepare to take back Earth from the robots who have decimated it. The special forces have trained for this for years, as they take refuge onboard the Babylonia. Now, you must take control of your squad, and fight back against The Punishing.

Test Dates Revealed

Kuro Technology, the developer behind Punishing: Gray Raven, has announced that the PC beta will launch in less than two weeks. The beta is titled Ascension, and it runs from March 1 to March 9. Unfortunately, it seems that registration is closed for this beta.

This isn’t the first beta for the PC client, though. Punishing: Gray Raven launched it’s first PC closed beta test back in November 2022, with the testing period starting on November 24. It seems, with a few adjustments, Kuro Technology is ready for round two!

Unfortunately, registration for the beta is closed. But don’t worry – with the second beta quickly approaching, it’s only a matter of time before a full PC client release is upon us!

An Official PC Client

Gacha games coming to PC is nothing we haven’t seen before, with third party emulators, such as BlueStacks, making the game available on PC shortly after. This has become such a recognised process that even some gacha games advertise the emulations on their websites. A key example of this is Arknights.

Alternatively, a game developer will approach the PC version of a game with an official PC client. A few games have started to do this, and as it becomes more common amongst gacha games, it seems Punishing: Gray Raven is joining the party.

It’s exciting to see more gachas receive an official PC client, as it makes the game more accessible to a wider audience. Sure, there’s always emulators, but official clients hold the potential to provide a smoother, more optimised gacha experience.
