Riftbusters: Action RPG has officially landed on mobile, bringing tons of firefights, loot drops, and squad-based alien takedowns. It’s developed by Phantom Gamelabs, a studio backed by Supercell. In March, the game launched a limited open beta exclusively for Android users in select regions.
What’s your role in Riftbusters: Action RPG?
You play the role of freelancers who have one job, which is to defend Earth from swarms of invaders spilling out of dangerous rifts. You arm yourself with bizarre weapons and gadgets to take on the enemies.
The game leans heavily on cooperative play. You can team up with other players for multiplayer missions. Riftbusters encourages you to experiment with loadouts, like guns that are more like handheld artillery.
The game makes sure you’re always chasing something shinier. Legendary gear and powerful upgrades are scattered across missions. Phantom Gamelabs has already added four new S-grade items: Scorch Engine, Heavy Metal, Vampire Gloves, and Backup Plans at launch.
Visually, the game offers varied environments. There are neon-lit futuristic cityscapes, alien wastelands crawling with hostile lifeforms and more options. Hidden secrets tucked into these maps also make exploration worth the detour.
What’s new after the open beta?
After the open beta, the devs have added some fresh updates that improve the experience. They’ve added new challenges and the four new S-grade items I mentioned above. There’s also a new minimap improvement that shows all quest and bounty objectives.
Riftbusters: Action RPG is free to play with optional in-app purchases and supports multiple languages. If you’re looking for a new looter shooter or co-op game, check Riftbusters out on the Google Play Store.
