Eastside Games is known for bringing quirky titles to mobile. Take, for instance, the Cheech & Chong and Trailer Park Boys games, the RuPaul’s games or other adaptations like Doctor Who: Lost in Time, The Office: Somehow We Manage and The Goldbergs: Back to the 80s. Adding to that list is Squishmallows Match.
Remember Squishmallows?
Eastside is teaming up with Jazwares and Zaibatsu Interactive to launch the first-ever mobile game based on the wildly popular plush line. The Squishmallows were launched in 2017 by Kelly Toys and Jazwares. Round and fluffy, they come in a variety of colours, sizes and objects, including animals and foods.
Now, coming back to the upcoming game, it’s a match-3 puzzle globally releasing on September 2nd, 2025. You’ll collect adorable characters and build your own squads with rare and limited-edition Squishmallows. You can also customise your player feed to share your collections and creative designs.
There are many options for customisation. You get Squishmallows-themed backgrounds, stickers, and the characters themselves. The game even has claw machines where you can try your luck at winning rare Squishmallows.
You can also work your way through the Squishmallows Reward Road to earn points and unlock Keys. And then use special items like Magnets, which improve your chances of getting special Squishmallows.
Squishmallows Match will also drop seasonal content via season passes that introduce time-limited Squishmallows. The game also includes features like wishlist tracking, community competitions, daily bonuses, and boosters. Take a peek at it below.
Squishmallows Match is now open for pre-registration
Pre-registering now will unlock exclusive in-game rewards for you. And, you’ll even have a shot at collecting a never-before-released Squishmallows, both as a digital character and a real-life plush, before anyone else in the world.
When it comes to any recent stuffed toy lines, I personally love Squishmallows. I prefer them over other dolls like the recent craze, monster-like Labubu (ahem, ahem). If you’re team Squishmallows too, then check out the game on the Google Play Store.
