The rather strange concept of what would happen if a city, say Tokyo, happen to suddenly be overrun with a jungle and the animals took the city back over landed on Playstation 3 not too long ago. It’s a game you’ll either love or absolutely hate, there really isn’t much of an in-between with this title. However, it’s popular enough that a mobile version is heading to Playstation Mobile in the very near future.
However this won’t be a direct port of the Playstation 3 game. Instead you’ll find yourself in an almost tactics style game where the entire goal is just about keeping your pack of animals alive. There is also no story mode included with the mobile version, just the survival mode. So essentially it’s all about surviving as long as possible.
Unfortunately that is pretty much all we know about the gameplay for the mobile version of Tokyo Jungle. As for when you can get your hands on a copy for your Playstation Certified device, July 10th, 2013 is the date you’re looking at for both Japan and US release. As for other territories like the UK, we don’t know if you’ll be included in the initial release or not just yet.
Price-wise you will be looking at $2.99 when Tokyo Jungle launches on Playstation Mobile.
