Warframe has officially rolled out worldwide on Android. Yep, finally! Supposed to release yesterday, Digital Extremes delayed the release following an authorisation problem during the limited release in Canada. Apparently, players weren’t able to log into the game properly. But the devs solved the problem overnight, so here it is now!
Were you waiting for Warframe on Android?
Digital Extremes’ online sci-fi title is finally out on Android, two years after it was released on iOS. With this launch, the studio is extending full cross-platform play and cross-platform save support to mobile users. So, you can connect with players on iOS, PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Apart from that, Digital Extremes is offering a limited-time incentive for Android users. Players who download and log into Warframe on Android by March 4th will receive the Cumulus Collection. It’s a bundle that includes weapon and armour cosmetics along with resource boosters.
The release of Warframe on Android is a major milestone for Digital Extremes. The game has grown significantly since its original open beta debut on PC in 2013. It began with a single tileset and four Warframes. And now, it has expanded into 20 Planets, four Open Worlds, more than 30 Quests, and nearly 65 base Warframes.
Basically, there’s a lot of content for Android players to start with!
The global Android launch lets users access the same evolving content roadmap as other platforms, including The Old Peace update. Fast-paced combat, detailed customisation systems, and narrative-driven single-player Cinematic Quest content are the USPs of the game.
Over the years, Warframe has expanded in scale as well as in community reach. Its success has led to TennoCon, an annual gathering in London, where thousands of fans visit to learn about the game’s future.
