What Duck: Defense is a new real-time strategy game on Android. Created by Nexelon, it’s just ducks taking all the attention in the game. The world of games never fails to amuse us, with all kinds of weird combinations taking place.

What Duck: Defense Is a Simple Yet Cute Addition to Android’s Roster

You’ll be juggling two different modes of defense gameplay here. On one side, there’s a wave-based, multi-lane RTS setup. In it, you gather action points to crank out duck soldiers. Each duck is weird enough to make you pause and take a good look at it.

On the other hand, the other mode of the game leans into 2D tower defense. This one has traditional mechanics mixed with flapping wings and webbed feet.

The game gives you a duck hero system, too. They come with distinct skills and abilities, and gear upgrades for deeper progression. Toss in a card-based mechanic, where single draws can swing a battle in your favour. There are stat boosts to special effects, so it’s not that monotonous, I guess.

Will you try it?

The visuals in the game have a light, cartoony vibe, adding to the casual play. And obviously, since it’s ducks, the game is destined to be a fun (and funny) take on any game of the same genre.

What Duck: Defense is also playable offline, and it’s free to play. So, are you up for messing around with tower placements and duck battalions? Then check it out on the Google Play Store. You’ll get a bit of everything, from hero upgrades and unit management to a variety of tower types and timing-based card plays.
