Word Search Journey – Puzzle is a new word game on Android. Developed and released by indie developer GameDevelopedia, it’s a combination of customisation, variety, and daily challenges. If you’re a word game buff like me, check out what the game has to offer.
A Traditional Word Search Game
Word Search Journey – Puzzle follows the usual route in the beginning. You find words hidden horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.
It comes with plenty of features that let you alter a lot of the stuff in the game. Fonts, background colours for the grid, full-screen visuals, and even individual letter cell styles can all be unlocked and changed.
You can earn in-game coins through regular progression. Then use them to unlock and swap between different visual setups.
The gameplay scales across multiple levels of difficulty. You get options to select between Easy (8×8), Medium (10×10), or Hard (12×12) grids. Word lengths and count vary according to the level/grid you choose.
You earn coins for each word found. There are also hints available for when the grid gets too tricky. You can earn these hints or just buy them using the coins. New players even get a starting bonus to get things going.
Word Search Journey – Puzzle also has a Daily Challenge System
The daily challenge system in the game offers a different kind of challenge. They drop timed puzzles with specific themes each day. Completing them adds more coins to your total.
Built on the Unity engine, the game’s visuals are clean and calming. Each theme has detailed sprite work and well-matched colour palettes.
