YouTube Gaming will soon allow for native streaming of Android games

The rush to see who can capture the mobile game streaming market is heating up even more. Currently Mobcrush is still only available on iOS, the company is still working on a beta for Android. This leaves Twitch and YouTube Gaming as the front runners to capture the Android market share for mobile game streaming. DeNA does have their app as well, called Mirrativ, but as it stands that application still needs a bunch of features.

Twitch currently doesn’t have much in the way of features for native Android game streaming on any Android devices outside of Nvidia’s Shield series. YouTube Gaming just recently launched as well, already populated with a massive amount of already existing content that is gaming related from YouTube, as well as having plenty of streamers. YouTube isn’t stopping there though, as the company has announced plans to allow Android users to stream Android games live from their Android devices to YouTube Gaming.

The new features will arrive from within the YouTube Gaming application in an upcoming update, although when that will arrive hasn’t been announced, only that it will be arriving soon. The announcement came from YouTube Gaming who is currently over at the Tokyo Game Show that is going on right now.

Twitch still dominated the streaming market, but compare the PC/console streamers to mobile streamers on Twitch, and there isn’t that many. The reason? Mainly due to how streaming from a mobile device isn’t the easiest of things to do. However, that market is expected to surpass PC/console streaming in the near future and the company that comes out with a product to make it easier to stream mobile games will take control of that market share.
