One of the more anticipated racing games heading to Android soon is Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed: Most Wanted. This will be the newest addition to the series and Electronic Arts has already teased us with a couple of trailers that show in-game footage. Well now we have a live action trailer, which is rather funny, where we get to see a bunch of cars we wish we could afford to buy or at least drive. Along with that though we now have a more solid release date for when Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be arriving.
Well it looks like we can finally wrap up another chapter in the world of developers restricting rooted devices from their games, and then turning around and reversing it due to the sheer amount of people wanting to punch someone at the company in the throat for suggesting that they should do that. Last week we reported on the fact that Square Enix had confirmed a patch would be rolling out in an update that would finally allow rooted Android users to download and play Chaos Rings.
Well what do we have here? A new Verizon ad for the Droid Razor MAXX HD phone has a neat little picture on it that you gamers out there may be interested in. Back in November of last year, we reported on the fact that Capcom was apparently working on bringing Lost Planet 2 to Android but in that article we were under the impression it would be coming to Tegra 3 devices first. Well it seems that it will be arriving on a Snapdragon based device first instead, that being the Droid Razor MAXX HD.
It is time to once again date myself a little bit by talking about a game from back in the day that was pretty popular in the arcades called After Burner (and After Burner II). The reason we bring this game up is because if you have played it before, then you already have an idea of how the gameplay will be in Psyonix’s newly announced game heading to Android called ARC Squadron. Instead of being on Earth and in war though, this game is in space instead.
Just in case you haven’t had enough RPG based new today already, here comes some more for you. Earlier this month we reported on another RPG that would be making it’s way to Android soon from Kemco called Knight of the Earthends. Well it’s been a couple of weeks since we reported on that and Kemco has released the game onto Google Play as of yesterday.
Many of you might not know what Fighting Fantasy books are, or maybe you do, but for those of you who don’t, Fighting Fantasy books were pretty much the most popular series of game adventure books (as in actual physical books) from back in the day. Now, one of the two authors, Ian Livingstone, has teamed up with Tin Man Games to bring the first official Fighting Fantasy book to Android called Blood of the Zombies.
Back in April of this year, Dialect released a tablet-only news applications that was focused on the entertainment industry with a bit more of a dedicated focus to gaming including that of Android gaming. The app was impressively made and featured a lot of dynamic content inside of it but unfortunately, if you only owned an Android phone, you were unable to get this app. That, however, is not the case anymore.
A new development studio has arrived on Android going by the rather unique name Sky Carpenter Digital Entertainment and their first release onto Google Play is a rather great looking dual-stick shooter called Fantashooting. The name comes from combining Fantasy and Shooting and has no affiliation with the soda that used to have weird commercials on TV.
Gamelion is getting ready to release their fifth game onto Android which happens to be a rather excellent looking hack n’ slash Action-RPG type of title called League of Heroes. Your goal is to defend the villagers of Frognest from the evil that happens to be invading the lands. As a hero, you’ll be taking up arms and slashing your way through an onslaught of enemies.
It is all about the highscore in a new retro arcade game from Conquering Bytes called Diskobolos. This particular game is a skill-based retro arcade titles that has you shooting discs at bionic insects. While you can just shoot them individually, you can increase your multiplier to really rake in the points in a few ways including bouncing the discs off the walls to hit more insects.
