I won’t lie, Zombie Driver is a title I’ve had my eye on for quite some time. I’d seen it on Steam when it was released for PC and had always thought it would be great to add to my eventual backlog through a Steam sale or Humble Bundle. I was always a little worried that, as it can be with many games that push ZOMBIES these days, the game just wouldn’t deliver much more than some cheap thrills that would wear out much too quickly. Once I picked up my Shield tablet and saw it dirt cheap on Tegra Zone though, I knew I the time had come and, for the most part, it hasn’t disappointed at all.

11-Bit Studios is gearing up to release what will be the last chapter in the Anomaly series called Anomaly Defenders. Originally this game was released onto Steam back in May of this year and we had hoped that the Android version would also launch at around the same time. Unfortunately that didn’t happen but the wait appears to be ending soon as 11-Bit Studios has announced that Anomaly Defenders will be landing on Android next week.
Unmechanical from Talawa Games and Teotl Studios has finally made its way into the Play Store. The game upon release, was highly revered because of its staggeringly beautiful environments, that were meshed with some very fine puzzle elements. The game has already been released on iOS and Steam, among other platforms. If you are into games that fall into the puzzle genre, based on the praise this game has received, deciding to download it should not be difficult.
Jim Vessella, Simon Armstrong and Kyle Van Meurs created SuperMoon Games. Based in San Francisco, CA, they created their game studio earlier this year, “…with the goal of creating delicious, bite-sized games that could be enjoyed by both veteran gamers and an eager generation of new players.” These gentlemen were so passionate about gaming, that they chose to leave corporate America to do their own thing. That means, this first game is completely self-funded. It is their hope that it will be successful enough for them to continue making games. Galaxy Dash: Race to Outer Run is a roller coaster of an endless runner that is bold, beautiful and exciting to play. If their goal was to create delicious, bite-sized games, then this one is a big snack that won’t leave you hungry.
Kiloo Games will be unleashing their latest project, Smash Champs, upon the gaming community in October. Based in Denmark, Kiloo Games has created the wildly popular Subway Surfers, Frisbee Forever, Frisbee Forever 2 and Bullet Time HD, which unfortunately, is only on iOS. Subway Surfers continues to be beloved by many, and continues to be updated by Kiloo with new free game content. This is impressive considering how long the game has been out. With Smash Champs, Kiloo is moving away from the endless runner genre, but based on the little we have seen, they will continue their successful track record.
The summer is almost over and there are a couple of blockbuster films that people have been eagerly anticipating. The Maze Runner, based on the novel by James Dashner is one such movie. It opens in theaters today, and a movie tie-in game from the collaboration of Sticky Studios, Fox Digital Entertainment and PikPok have made that possible. The Maze Runner is available now to download in the Play Store.

Dreamgate Studios is based in Canberra, Austrailia. The studio was created in 2011 and is comprised of individuals that have worked in the game industry for some time. The team members have worked on projects such as X-Com, Bioshock and Fallout. Anyone that has been playing games for some time, know that those games are legendary. Dreamgate Studios has released Light in the Dark and it is a light bending, color blending puzzle game that will challenge you. Your gaming skills will be tested as you attempt to help the immediately likable and cute totems babies find their parents by completing a myriad of puzzles.
Mines of Mars is a side-scrolling RPG from Crescent Moon games. For those that aren’t familiar with them, they also created the FPS called Neon Shadow, RPG RavenSword, and a slew of other games covering all sorts of genres. In my experience with their games, they don’t slouch. So to little surprise, this pattern holds with Mines of Mars.
“I feel the need… the need for speed!” If you are a fan of planes that move at high speeds, then you are probably familiar with the shared quote from Maverick and Goose in the movie Top Gun. Maverick, played by Tom Cruise and Goose, played by Anthony Edwards, both enjoyed flying planes at ridiculous speeds. Roadhouse Interactive and Red Bull Media House give you the same opportunity in their latest project, Red Bull Air Race the Game. It is now available to download in the Play Store.
