Square Enix seems to be keeping their steady stream of game releases going with plans for more games to head over to Android in the near future. Currently slated for release on the Square Enix Market in Japan for Android users this month, Drakerider and Chaos Rings II are gearing up for release if you happen to live in Japan.

A rather neat looking free running platformer has arrived on Android called Grudger. Developer by Noble Muffins, Grudger puts players in charge of the main character who’s name is Grudger. However, Grudger’s job is a bit more on the shady side of things, delivering goods to the morally ambiguous people he called customers.
Former Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling is working with Gun Media who will be publishing Mighty Rabbit Studios’ newly announced tactical strategy game that will be heading to Android and iOS this Spring. Officially called Breach & Clear, players will be charged with the task of taking out various terrorist groups from around the world.
Information is beginning to surface today over possible layoffs at Valve who are the developers of the Half-Life franchise and Steam. Details right now are pretty scarce as to what is going on and regarding the number of employees let go as of Tuesday morning. While the number of staff who have been laid off is currently unknown, some terms describing the situation being thrown around include “great cleansing” and “large decisions.”
By now, you would’ve known that Real Racing 3 is due to be a freemium game employing a timer-based mechanic. I had my reservations about it, but reading the initial impressions of journalists from established gaming publications regarding the way the timer-system worked, I thought it won’t be so bad after all.
Last week we reported on Zen Studios who are the developers of Zen Pinball HD which is one of the two great pinball platforms available for Android on Google Play. Well a two-man team of game developers wants to bring that arcade racing experience back to life across multiple platforms with Android being one of them with their game The 90s Arcade Racer.
So we have seen a couple of trailers, a few developer diary videos and a variety of screenshots regarding EA’s upcoming Real Racing 3 game. We’ve also been hit with the news that Real Racing 3 will be a free-to-play game where players will be able to buy the game’s secondary currency, Gold Coins, in order to speed up vehicle repair and upgrade times.
Alien vs Predator: Evolution is an upcoming game from Angry Mob Games who has partnered with Fox Entertainment in order to bring us spine ripping, blood splattering, hacking and slashing fun inside the Alien and Predator universe. With that said, the title of this article is probably the strangest title I’ve had to write in a long time.
Another week and another blog post from the folks over at nVidia regarding their upcoming Android-powered handheld gaming system Project Shield. Previously we’ve seen Real Boxing running on Project Shield, which was last week, and the week before was Borderlands 2. This week the new game being shown off is Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
