This type of news seems to be following a pattern this week unfortunately in regards to Capcom and recent game releases. Yesterday they launched Resident Evil 4 onto the Google Play store but it appears it is only for residents of Japan. This is the same game we talked about last year that was exclusive to LG devices in South Korea.

Vendetta Online by Guild Software has been around for a very long time if you look at the normal shelf life of any MMO game these days. Few make it past the 10 year mark and Vendetta Online is one of those few who have made it. Now Guild Software wants to expand the game to a whole new level and has hit up Kickstarter to do it.
In the spirit of Tron and the light racing bikes from the franchise, Avko Labs has released a tunnel racing game called Death Track that takes influence from the Tron brand. Sporting glowy 3D graphics, players will hope into their light bikes and race through a tunnel dodging hazards along the way.
One brand of fighting games we had hoped would make it to Android at some point is the Tekken series. Well we sort of got our wish filled although it isn’t exactly what we had in mind when we said we wanted Tekken to come to Android. See, Namco Bandai is bringing Tekken to Android but instead of a head-to-head fighting game it will arrive as a cross-platform card battle game instead.
So about a week ago there was a story we reported on regarding Gameloft’s Asphalt 7: Heat title and the fact that users were being bombarded suddenly with what looked to be Airpush ads. It didn’t help either that a forum administrator over on the Gameloft forums confirmed that Gameloft uses Airpush. Well Gameloft has sent over an official statement regarding this whole issue.
A new continuous running platformer is heading our way on January 25th, 2013 called Komodo Crunchtime: Ultimate Superstars. Developed by Rie Studios, this new platformer was built using the Unity3D engine so the visuals are actually pretty solid for this game. The visuals are bit more of a cartoon style like something you would find on the Wii.
Oh Capcom, what are we ever going to do with you and you’re weird sense of priority when it comes to releasing games but for only one country. Capcom has been a bit busy lately and are starting the new year off strong with another game release. Well we have been reporting on an update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition we have labeled as the 0.5.1 update, which is what this was supposed to be, but now Mojang has turned around and labeled this update as the official 0.6.0 update instead. That means everything in the 0.5.1 update we have been talking about will actually arrive as 0.6.0. This also means that everything we were talking about before as coming in the 0.6.0 update will actually arrive in 0.7.0. Confusing isn’t it?
It was bound to happen just like it does when any sort of major game release is on the horizon, fake apps trying to fool people into downloading them named after the upcoming game in question’s release. So it has happened to Temple Run 2, just like it did with the original game’s launch as well.
