Rumors have been rolling around for some time that Crytek would be getting into the mobile gaming field and now we have confirmation of this thanks to a press release from Crytek announcing their first game, Fibble – Flick N Roll.
Gameloft has released their rather popular on iOS third-person western shooter onto Android called Six Guns. While you will have to deal with bandits and other enemies, there are also some more supernatural beings to take down as well.
Alright, we have a confession to make, we knew NBA Jam was coming to Android a few days ago thanks to a tip that it had shown up on their Flexion store for the UK. Well the good news is that NBA Jam is now available on Google Play as well as FIFA 12.
While the post could be defined as more of an editorial, possibly a rant on my part, news is that Square Enix doesn’t really consider US and European Android gamers as any sort of priority when it comes to their games and releasing them on Android. This comes in light of more popular titles found on the Square Enix Market for Japanese Android users.
One game we have talked about on and off for a couple of months now is Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition from Sega. Well the good news is we don’t have to wait for it to arrive anymore as it is now available on Google Play and also on sale to celebrate its launch.
Minecraft: Pocket Edition has received a new update today which brings a couple of new features and tweaks to the game. This is a minor update, version 0.21, and is not the full Survival Mode we are still waiting for. However, we do now have pigs.
Back in the beginning of GDC 2012 last week, we mentioned that ARM was on site showing off some games and demos featuring their new Mali chip. We later met back up with ARM to talk about the Mali chip and try out some of the demos while figuring out which ones would actually be released as games.
We got a nice email telling us about a game called Dangerous from Binary Helix that happens to be on the Android Market. This is an open world space sandbox combat RPG title which, from the moment you download and start the game, will actually impress you quite a bit.
As a very big fan of the Final Fantasy franchise from Square Enix, mostly all the games up to Final Fantasy VIII, it was great to see a Final Fantasy title land on Android finally. Unfortunately, as of right now though, it is for residence of Japan only.
