Dragon Slayer Review: More swiping action, but is it fun?

Dragon Slayer, a new Infinity Blade-esque game brought to us by Glu is yet another take on the “swipe, swipe, swipe, push a button, swipe, spend money” genre of gaming that seems to be the only thing I happen to have the misfortune of coming across on the Google Play market. Bear in mind that I come from a background of covering — and loving — independent titles, so covering games that are essentially re-skins of a game that came out years ago is a bit depressing.

Gameloft’s upcoming MOBA game for Android called Heroes of Order & Chaos has been delayed for a little bit. While the game is available right now on iOS, Android gamers will have to wait a short bit while Gameloft resolves a bit of a server issues right now with the Android version. This issue is preventing it from being released which is fine since we would rather have it fully working when it lands on Google Play instead of having issues.

Google hosts a Player Appreciation sale for this Thanksgiving weekend

Google is hosting another sale only this time there are no $0.10 or $0.25 games for you to pick up. Instead this Thanksgiving weekend has Google listing a selection of titles that have rather large discounts happening inside of them. We say ‘inside of them’ because almost everything in the list is a free-to-play game supported through in-game purchases, so the sale is in regards to in-game currency packages and other IAPs available within those games.
