While you generally hear about temporary exclusives coming to the Amazon App Store these days, this would be the first story of a developer pulling their game from the 3rd party app store. According to Bithack, there are several issues that make the App Store not a good choice for the indie developers.

A few days ago we talked about the multi-platform hit tower defense game called Fieldrunners. The updated and improved HD version will be an Android exclusive and originally was slated to launch on the Android Market for $0.99 the first day before going to a $2.99 price after that.
Amazon’s App Store for Android today has a great game up for free called Apparatus. Currently we are in the middle of reviewing it ourselves but we can say this about the game already: It’s creative and it’s fun. The only thing stopping you in this game is your own imagination really.
Today’s free game over at Amazon’s app store is a classic that pretty much every person that has ever touched a piece of technology has played. Pac-Man by Namco is free today and if you love this classic old school game like millions of other people do, getting it free for your Android phone is a nice bonus.
Plants vs Zombies finally available for Android on the Amazon App Store. Also it is the free game today!
About two weeks ago we reported on Plants vs Zombies and the fact that PopCap Games came out to say it would be made available by the end of May. We have heard it before though so imagine our surprise when we looked today on Amazon and sure enough, there it is!
Everyone has probably heard by now that Amazon has some goodies in the works when it comes to Android devices. Well some news regarding their tablets that are being developed has come out that these devices, codenamed Coyote and Hollywood, will be multi-core Android tablets, slated for release near the end of this year.
So it seems as though PopCap Games has finally decided to release Plants vs Zombies and Chuzzle onto the Android platform. While we have been hearing that this would be coming soon for quite some time now, PopCap Games has released actual launch details. These two games may actually get released!
Well here is a bit of a different way to do an update. Unlike Angry Birds Seasons where the Amazon App Store paid version didn’t see an update for Easter until almost a week after it rolled out onto the Android Market version, Angry Birds Rio on the Amazon App Store got the Volley Ball update first.
It’s been a little bit since Amazon threw up a game for free on the Android App Store. Today’s free app/game on the Amazon App Store is a game called Chalk Ball that is sort of a blend between pong, breakout and pinball style gaming. This weird little mesh of gaming style today is free for you to download and play.
This is certainly a good way to start off a new week. Amazon’s has quite the entertaining little game up today as their free game of the day. Super Dynamite Fishing is extreme fishing with a hilly billy twist to it. Developed by Handy Games, Super Dynamite Fishing is also pretty funny. Who wouldn’t like to fish with dynamite?
