Today’s free game on Amazon’s App Store will be a nice addition to anyone who enjoys playing the match-3 (or more) style of games. Collapse! by GameHouse is a match-3 game with some pretty good graphics, power-ups, a storyline with quests and customizing your hero…. wait what?
Today over at the Amazon App Store there is a free game available for today’s free app of the day called Roller. Developed by Camel Games, Roller is a Skee ball game for your Android phone featuring some pretty nice graphics and gameplay. It also comes with a variety of table design too!

If you enjoy games on the PC like Myst then you’re in for a bit of a treat today as Amazon’s App Store is offering up a similar style game for free. The Secret of Grisly Manor by Fire Maple Games is a Myst-style hunt for clues and solve the mystery type of game for Android. Sort of like Scooby Doo but without the 80’s invading it.
Amazon’s free game of the day is the Moron Test by Distinct Devs. It has been out on the Android Market for some time and has been pretty popular. Featuring a wide variety of tests and puzzles for you to try and figure out, the Moron Test is a great time killer. Don’t worry if you don’t do well, the tests get really hard.
IGDA to Amazon: Thanks for trying but your claification doesn’t help anything for game developers.
It is time for Round 3 of the battle over Amazon’s App Store for Android and the Developer Agreement that everyone signs when registering to submit games (or apps) onto the App Store. In response to Amazon’s clarification regarding the Developer Agreement last week, the IGDA has pointed out that there is still a glaring issue at hand.
Yesterday the IGDA (International Game Developers Association) published an open letter on their blog to Amazon’s App Store and warning developers about Amazon’s Developer Agreements terms and what you are actually agreeing to when you sign it. Today Amazon has published a response to the letter.
Like Scrabble-type games? Well you’re in luck today if you do because Amazon’s free app of the day today is a Scrabble-like game called Wordsmith. Actually for the most part it is Scrabble with a few variations to the gameplay and points. In fact you can really rack up the points in this game by Second Breakfast Studios.
We should be surprised by this but we are not. Perhaps it is the few conversations I’ve has with Cory Trese, developer of Star Traders RPG over the Amazon’s terms of agreement for their App Store for Android. In short, the IGDA (International Game Developers Association) has issues an open-letter warning game developers about the terms of agreement.
Today on the Amazon App Store is another free game but this time for people who enjoy card games, specifically Solitaire. In the Solitaire Megapack you’ll find over 100 different card games to play from the classics all the way to weird variants of Solitaire that you’ve probably never heard of. While not the most exciting game to play, it is great to kill time with.
