Nintendo held another general meeting with their shareholders and while everything at this meeting was pretty standard, there was one item that wasn’t. During the meeting, the company hinted that they were making a mobile game controller. Of course hinting at something doesn’t necessarily mean that it will happen, so take the following details with a grain of salt.
Nintendo recently revealed what franchises their next two mobile games would be from, that being Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing. Today the company revealed what sort of business model these games would have, and while Nintendo did say all of their games would be free-to-play more than likely back when they initially revealed they would be making mobile games, it seems then are going to be trying a slightly different approach with these two upcoming games.

During Nintendo’s announcement regarding their full fiscal year, with the latest one having just ended on March 31st, 2016, the company revealed what their plans will be for their next mobile games. This announcement should make a lot of people happy, especially those of you who are fans of the Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing franchises, since their next couple of games will be coming from those two franchises.
We don’t need to rehash Nintendo’s standpoint about bringing any of their games to mobile devices other than their own. Everyone knows their stance on this by now. The same goes for a lot of titles made by third party developers who call Nintendo their home and this includes Animal Crossing’s creator Katsuya Eguchi. However Katsuya does have some interest in the mobile field.
