PapayaMobile is opening up a way for Android developers to reach the rather large market of Android devices in China. Dubbed the Gateway to China program, this will give developers the opportunity to sell their apps and games in China which is a huge potential market still left untapped by the Android Market.
N3V Games has announced that they are working on a new game which will be a 3D survival shooter where your goal is to survive masses of zombies who want to eat you. If the developers name seems familiar, it should. They also developed My First Trainz Set for Tegra 2 Android device and also have their hardcore train simulator, Trainz, coming out soon as well.
It seems Gamevil knows that, even though they have many in-house hits themselves, helping developers and buying IPs can also be very successful. With that said, Gamevil has announced a $10M partner fund for developers to strength their list of quality smartphone games.

Of course, as with any interview with Mark, the questions always come up about Android, which is great except he is probably sick of it by now. If you haven’t heard about Lodsys LLC by now then you are about to get familiar with them pretty quickly. Generally, known as a patent troll, Lodsys LLC has recently been trying to sue just about everyone under the sun it seems. Last year when the App Inventor for Android came out, we were in the original beta and saw a few features that had yet been implemented. These features including transferring data to and from game servers and other similar features. We took an educated guess at this being a similar system like iOS has with their Game Center.

The developers of Chalk Ball have decided to show off their upcoming game called Space Cat. While they currently are working on a sequel to Chalk Ball as well, Space Cat is a 3D game where you control cats that fly around in flying saucers. Already, that right there, makes this look like fun.
One game that was at the OnLive booth was a neat little game called From Dust which is being developed by Ubisoft. While the game itself is pretty interesting, one key feature that really stands out is that it will be cross-platform compatible, across most platforms, with all types of controls.
Qualcomm has really fired up their whole push with Android gaming as of late. Their newest announcement comes during Uplinq 2011 which started today and is a ‘Game Pack’ which will feature a slew of titles from a few top game developers that are optimized for their Snapdragon chipset.
