WildBit Studios have announced a rather unique promo sign-up offer for their upcoming game Paper Zombie which will be landing on Android soon. Paper Zombie is a blending of two types of gaming genres, FPS (first-person shooter) and strategy where you’ll have to fight off lots and lots of zombies.
You know you just love it when there is a catch to a game release, however this time it won’t be an Xperia Play exclusive. If you are looking for a really good hack n’ slash type of game then you already know that one of the best ones out there happens to be Samurai II: Vengeance by Madfinger Games, the same developers that brought your Shadowgun.
Now I’d love to give the readers a full review. However, I seem to share the same fate that some of you that will download this game will be forced to live through — those dang force closes! The game is almost fun enough that the frustration of the force closes are worth it because I tended to be able to get a bit further each time before the game froze up.
Gameloft has also gotten into the Thanksgiving spirit it seems and is offering Xperia Play owners a 2-for-1 deal on their Xperia Play optimized titles. We have a two fold story relating to Gameloft right now. The first, of course, is their holiday giveaways to celebrate Thanksgiving. Every day from now until Cyber Monday Gameloft will announce one title on their Gameloft Android Twitter account and a random time during the day. When they announce whatever game is free, you will have two hours to grab it for your Android device but that certainly isn’t all either!
You may remember the name Grey Fin Studios as they were the developers of the MiniSquadron series of games that were quite popular. Well they have decided to branch out and release an off-road racing game called Acceler8 onto Android instead.
A few days ago Glu Mobile released an Infinity Blade style of game called Blood & Glory which was basically a Roman Gladiator type of arena game made with Unreal Engine. While the game itself is pretty fun to play, albeit freemium, there was one thing missing from the game, actual blood.
About a week or so ago we noticed that Polarbit has released Raging Thunder, their 3D racing game, onto Android as a free version. At first we figured it was just a promotion but now it seems as though this could be a new trend with some of Polarbit’s older titles as now Wave Blazer is now also free.
Gameloft has announced that they are giving a few titles away today for free but there is a catch. To get the free games you have to be an owner of an Acer Icnoia A500 or A501 tablet. For those of you who don’t know about these tablets, it’s a Tegra dual-core Honeycomb tablet from Acer who is also gearing up to release the rumored A700 and A701 Tegra 3 tablets early next year.
