Fan of the comic strip series by Penny Arcade and subsequently their retro-style RPGs have a little bit of bad news today. It seemed like a lot of people had been waiting for Penny Arcade to release their games onto Android and when On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 finally arrived on Google Play, a lot of people seemed happy about it.
While this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise for anyone really, it is still interesting to check out the numbers involved with something like this. Apparently Imangi Studios’ Temple Run 2 which just recently came out on Android has broken the record for the fastest growing mobile game ever with over 50 million downloads across iOS, Android and Kindle Devices in 13 days.
During CES 2013 and nVidia’s press conference, one of the games demoed on their upcoming Project Shield Android handheld gaming system was the Mech themed MMOFPS game Hawken by Adhesive Games. Well the two companies have teamed up once again only this time it isn’t to demo Hawken playing on Project Shield like before but instead to tease us a little more by releasing a Hawken Live Wallpaper.
Zenonia 5 got an update the other day that finally added raid mode. You know… that button on the status screen that said COMING SOON! when you press it? Well, its here now. Unfortunately, it’s also expensive. Each and every run through raid mode is going to cost you some Zen. Not a whole lot, but if you plan on doing raids often its going to stack up.

About a week ago we talked about a Tekken game that would be heading our way soon from Namco Bandai. While it is unfortunately not a head-to-head combat game in the series’ traditional sense, it is still a combat game nonetheless. While Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.6.0 has arrived in full force on both Android and iOS, MinePocket-MP has also been updated and a new development build is now available for download as well. Keeping in tune with the Minecraft: Pocket Edition version, the new version of MinePocket-MP is also labeled as 0.6.0 Alpha.
Back in late December of last year we posted a PSA (Public Service Announcement) regarding a developer going by the name of ‘apkdeveloper’ who was ripping off people’s games and apps and re-uploading as their own but layered with ads and god only knows what else. Well shortly after that article and a few other sites posted about it, apkdeveloper was shut down on Google Play. Unfortunately they are back under a new name.
