This topic has been around since before the Xperia Play got release and while Sony Ericsson had the right idea with making an actual gaming focused device for Android gamers, there are some items that could have been improved upon. This isn’t a knock at the Xperia Play though which is a fun, solid device.

Well now that the bad news regarding the Xperia Play, at least for our friends in New Zealand, is out of the way, there is some good news to report on as well. For all of us Android gamers here in the US, the Xperia Play on Verizon has finally gotten a pre-order and launch date along with some pricing to round it all off.
Well here is something you don’t hear every day. According to their Facebook page, Vodafone in New Zealand has had their entire stock of Xperia Plays for use in the launch of the device down there stolen. Yes, you read that right. The entire stock of Xperia Play Android devices has been ripped off.
During Google I/O 2011 which just finished, word came out that there would be a Nexus 3 coming out by the end of this year. Also, Android’s newest OS version, Ice Cream Sandwich, will also be coming out at around that time. Now we have nVidia’s CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang, hinting that the Nexus 3 could also be quad-core.
