Symmetria is a new puzzle game that’s out on the Android platform. In this game, players will be given an image of blocks that are set into a grid, with a fairly blank grid on the opposite side. Players will look to tap on the squares that will create a mirror image of the one shown.
Developers Terrible Toybox originally got their upcoming game Thimbleweed Park funded on Kickstarter and announced back in March of this year. The release time frame for this game was for it to arrive at some point this year. Unfortunately that looks to have changed and now has a new timeline for its release. NaturalMotion’s popular RTS game Dawn of Titans has received a pretty big update which brings with it new content, a whole new improved UI, combat controls, and plenty of balancing to the game. On top of that, there are new security features that are making their debut to prevent cheating.
Sony has decided to follow in Nintendo’s footsteps by announcing today that the company is planning to bring 10 Playstation games to Android and iOS devices. It’s a bit odd to say that Sony is following Nintendo as this isn’t Sony’s first time in the smartphone gaming scene at all. The other news regarding Pokemon GO yesterday, about the 100 new 2nd generation Pokemon making their appearance on December 8th, seems to have either been off or has changed. So was it? Well kind of.
For those of you who happen to be playing the clicker style game called Final Taptasy, Nanoo Company has pushed out a decent sized content update today, bumping the version number officially to 2.0. This particular game is a mesh between a clicker and a retro RPG type of game.
In a double-header of Pokemon GO news, it appears that Niantic Labs has teamed up with Sprint for… something. What this may actually end up being remains to be seen, but we won’t have to wait long to find out what’s going on with the two companies, as they are planning to hold a join press conference tomorrow.
One of the problems with mobile gaming isn’t so much the games themselves, but the download sizes. This holds true with not just your initial update of a big game, but also the subsequent updates that games and apps get that also are big. If you have unlimited data on your plan, then this doesn’t matter much either way. However, if you don’t have unlimited data, the last thing you want to do is chew up a large chunk of your data downloading a 1GB game update.
