Spicy Horse Games, the developers behind games such as Alice: Madness Returns, are now working on an action-RPG title that will be hitting the web, PC and tablets called Akaneiro: Demon Hunters. This game take inspiration for Little Red Riding Hood but with a more mature take on the story, plus it has demons.
Developers going by the name of Hexage have been rather quiet for some time working on their next release for Android as well as other platforms. No real information has been available about their next game until now. It will be called Radiant Defense and it will be a tower defense game.
The Android app ecosystem is apparently a “chaotic cesspool” as far as Research in Motion’s Vice President of Developer Relations Alec Saunders is concerned. Pinball fans have a couple of new tables to download and play in Farsight’s Pinball Arcade for Android. Pinball Arcade is a pinball platform, similar to Zen Pinball, but while Zen Pinball create their own tables, Pinball Arcade faithfully recreates the pinball tables you used to play in the arcades from all the major brands.
A new Tegra-based game has arrived onto Android for both Tegra 2 dual-core and Tegra 3 quad-core devices. Coming from developer Hoplite Research, this new racing game is called Jett Tailfin Racers and features underwater racing as fish in the same quirky style that you would find in titles like Mario Kart.
There is a new retro style game on the Google Play Store that combines Soccer and platformer gaming into one title, then layers it heavily with some really retro style graphics. Developed by Uncade, Blast Ball combines all three things into one title which is now available for Android.
Carbon Games is gearing up to release their free-to-play cross-platform multiplayer Action-RTS game onto mobile soon called AirMech. Slated for a mobile release sometime after Summer of this year, AirMech is currently sitting in Alpha status for the PC/browser version which is actually slated for release in a beta form this Summer as well.
As you may know already from us talking about the Shadowrun Returns Kickstarter project, this game will be coming to PC, Android and iOS tablets when it is released thanks to the initial $400,000 in successful funding. Topping over the $700k mark right now, new features have been announced along with a new set of features that will be added if the Kickstarter project breaks the $1 million mark.
