Dungeon Defenders: First Wave is a highly addictive game mixed between action-rpg and tower defense gameplay. It was developed using the Unreal Engine and supports both newer high-end single-core and dual-core Android devices. Originally released as a paid title, since the launch of Google’s in-app purchasing, it has gone free-to-play.

Last night Google decided that it was time for in-app purchasing to leave the final testing phase it entered last week and go fully live. Also to help with the launch, a few developers have released games featuring in-app purchases already. Of course they were all games which is fine with us! It’s good to see this finally available for everyone.
Angry Birds developers, Rovio, announced today via Facebook that they will indeed be bringing Angry Birds Rio over to the Android Market. While this version of the game will be free to whoever wants it, you can expect to see ads inside. This is because the ad-free version will be remaining exclusive to the Amazon App Store.
Can you hear that? That is the sound of the word “Finally” being cheered throughout the developer community, especially regarding the Android gaming sector, as Google announced a few new enhancements coming out way in the first quarter of 2011. The major one is the ability to allow in-app purchases.
