Subway Surfers breaks 1 billion downloads, releases infographic with some interesting statistics
A lot of developers get excited when their game(s) break the 1 million downloads mark, and they should, it is a pretty big feat to get a million people to download a game or an application. Breaking 10 million is even more exciting, and so is 50 million. The higher the downloads number gets, the smaller the list of games and applications reaching those goals gets. Breaking a billion downloads is something only a few games have done, and Subway Surfers is the latest one to do it.
Real Racing 3 celebrates the 20th anniversary of McLaren’s victory at the Le Mans with new update
EA’s Real Racing 3 has received an update today in celebration of the McLaren victory at Le Mans 20 years ago in 1995. Part of this update will put players in the driver’s seat of the car that won that race years ago, the legendary McLaren F1 GTR which is still a damn sexy car even by today’s standard.
Released by IRF Media (makers of Blast Off and Balloon Assault), Ginger Roll is their next game slated for an upcoming release. Players will assume the role of Saif, a ginger and diminutive hero who’s been imprisoned in a Zorb Ball by a malevolent prodigy named named Ibis, who has designs for world domination.
The first time I saw The Magic Flute in action, my first thought was, “Please come to Android!” I got in contact with the developer and they said yes, there were plans to bring the game to android. So, I have been patiently waiting for its arrival. I was surprised to find out early this morning, that the game had quietly launched today. The Magic Flute brings together great music, art and puzzles. Lab Like, the game’s creator, has won a few awards for this game. You may not want to miss this one, because it is fun and creative in its implementation.
Over the last half a year or so Joycity has released a few games onto Android, such as Elemental Wings and Warship Battles, all of which have done pretty well since their releases. The company’s newest game is called Game of Dice and is a sort of mix between a board game, a TCG, and an RPG. It also has real-time multiplayer as well.
If you happen to live in Japan, or at least know how to read Japanese, then you will be able to pick up Square Enix’s Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius for Android later this week. This game was originally announced near the end of last year and has since been in development. More recently, Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius was shown off during the Tokyo Game Show this year.
Bandai Namco to host a limited time event in PAC-MAN +Tournaments for breast cancer awareness month
Bandai Namco has decided to host a limited time in-game event in honor of breast cancer awareness month from within their Pac-Man + Tournaments game on Android. This event begins today and features a PINK Maze tournament that players can participate in. Of course the goal of this is to help spread the word about Breast Cancer Awareness.
Kwaan is a is an adventure RPG that’s set to release on Android next year. This is an interesting hybrid title that is part point-and-click adventure game, part RPG, and part platformer. Players will guide a member of a tribe of Dwaals towards pleasing a sentient tree named Kwaan, whose flow of tears threatens to drown them all.
