Set to take place in the afterlife, Afterland is a game about a band of “misfits” that have lost their souls. This group of castoffs will travel about as a carnival that performs magic, in order to regain the souls that they’ve lost. An interesting facet of the game’s backstory is a play on how or why each character came to be a misfit.
Released by Kemco, makers of a myriad of JRPGs for Android, has released translated another one of their Japanese games into English. Dubbed Legna Tactica, this game revolves around the idea of ending war altogether. The protagonists are two boys with this ambitious goal, and the question of hope to achieve it will be visited throughout the game.
Yesterday we reported that the big changeover for Nvidia’s gaming-on-demand service formally known as Nvidia GRID would be happening today. Sure enough everything is now live including the new name, GeForce Now, the monthly subscription, and eight premium games available for purchase.
True to the answer Jobs Stauffer gave on Twitter during his impromptu Q&A session the other day, where he stated that a new trailer for Minecraft: Story Mode would be arriving this week, this new trailer has finally arrived. The trailer shows off a bit more of the story, as well as the heroes, which will be coming in the first episode called Order of the Stone.
The other day Google announced two new Nexus phones during their Nexus event, the Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X. Both are pretty solid entries into the Nexus brand, with the Nexus 5X in particular being an upgraded version of LG’s previous Nexus 5. Since the original announcement, all that has really been known about the launching of either device is that pre-orders are live now, and that they would be shipping out later this month.
We briefly touched on Back to the Future franchise’s upcoming birthday the other day in our post about Telltale Games’ impromptu Q&A session on Twitter. Unfortunately none of the Back to the Future stuff talked about was heading to mobile. Then there are a few odd ball themes like the Tekken CCG one, or the Soccer Spirits game from Com2uS. Released by Curve Digital and developed by Peter Moorehead, Murder is a new point and click adventure game that is coming soon. The game will be set in a near-future Tokyo with a cyberpunk influence and pixel art visuals.
A couple of weeks ago we reported on inkle’s very popular game 80 Days and the fact it would be getting a pretty big content update soon. The update was slated for release on October 1st, however it has arrived early and is now available for download today instead.
