It’s Friday which means it is time once again for our end of the week Android game sale round-up. This week’s round-up is about half and half when it comes to new games being on the list, and repeats from last week. Some of the new titles making an appearance include both Doom & Destiny games, both Oddworld games, Auro, and more.
The Oddworld franchise just got a little bigger on mobile with the release of a new game called Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee. Once again players will be taking control of Abe as he ends up in another adventure, this time to reclaim the last remaining gabbit eggs on Oddworld.
There is a new Oddworld game heading to mobile soon and this new mobile version of Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee is going to be used to basically help with the re-launch of Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee for PC on Steam as well. Square One Games, the folks behind Oddworl: Stranger’s Wrath, will be making the mobile version of Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee, which is actually done already. It won’t be released just yet though, not until the revamping of the PC version is almost done.
Oddworld is a successful video game franchise that has been released by a handful of developers, and has been around nearly twenty years on various platforms, with this game debuting for the original Xbox in 2005. This was a franchise that I’d heard of and was vaguely familiar with, yet hadn’t experienced any (coming in “clean”, in essence). I was looking forward to reviewing this one when I saw that it went on sale, so let’s see what I walked away with.
Back in December of 2014 OddWorld Inhabitants brought Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath to Android, first through Amazon and then Google Play shortly afterwards. Now owners of the Android-based micro-console Ouya can now get in on the action as the game is now available on the Ouya Marketplace.
OddWorld Inhabitants has released a new Oddworld game onto Android over on the Amazon AppStore called Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath. For those of you not familiar with this game, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath has a Western theme to it, except everything is filled with different alien species.
