[Updated] Team2Bit partners with Ouya for two exclusive games, Fist Puncher to be the first one
Ouya and Team2Bit have signed a deal for a two game release with the first of two titles being the button-mashing brawler named Fist Puncher. This arcade game is fashioned around the old school 8-bit brawlers that used to be very popular back in the day.
Interesting news today in what looks like a little bit of regulation by Google regarding the Google Play store, something that doesn’t happen often unless it is about copyright infringement or hazardous apps and games. Apparently Google is taking down games with the word Flappy in the title.
[Updated] Chilli Hugger will be bringing the sequel Doomdark’s Revenge to Android on February 17th
Chili Hugger has announced that it will be bringing the classic sequel to Mike Singleton’s game The Lords of Midnight to mobile on February 17th, 2014. Officially titled Doomdark’s Revenge, this sequel was originally released back in 1985 and is now being remade and brought to mobile devices.
[Updated] Noodlecake Games will be bringing the hit retro platformer Mikey Shorts to Android next week
Mikey Shorts is a cool little retro-style platformer that was originally released onto iOS by BeaverTap Games and has done quite well for itself since its release. Now Noodlecake Games is planning to bring this game over to Android and it will be arriving next week.

Alright, we don’t post anything about iPhone or iOS generally at all, mainly because we are an Android gaming news website. So if we are posting something related to an iPhone, although the game Flappy Bird itself was on Android, you know it has to be a pretty decent WTF moment.
OrangePixel brings the world of Gunslugs to everyone as bite-sized figurines, now available for purchase
OrangePixel has launched a new line of toys in the same style as their previous release of Heroes of Loot figurines. This time however these new toys are based off of their Gunslugs game and they look pretty damn awesome.
There are plenty of Tower Defense games available on Android already. Many of them are quite good, some of them suck, but most of them try to be a little different than what is already out there. Developers going by the name Insane Sheep have released a new game called Big Tower which they are banking on being unique enough to be the Tower Defense game of choice for fans of the genre.
Yesterday we posted that we wouldn’t be posting anything more related to Flappy Bird due to the developer wanting some peace. Since then we have seen statements and other things posted by other websites involving the Flappy Bird developer which is fine, we will stick to our word for the most part. However Terry Cavanagh, the creator of Super Hexagon and other games, has published his own spin-off of Flappy Bird called Maverick Bird.
We were going to post about this news yesterday but we felt that some more details were going to come to light about Flappy Bird being pulled from Google Play and the iOS App Store. Sure enough some more have been released. Aside from the initial statement that it is ruining the creator’s simple life, he is now saying it is also being pulled to save everyone from addiction to the game.
