Moving right along in our week of craziness while we countdown the last few days before Christmas, this is Day 2 and as with any new day, new things come your way. Samsung seems to be in the giving mood this holiday season as they are giving away free games to owners of Galaxy devices. This promotion, called the “Get Best Games for Free!” promo, is for all the Galaxy Android devices that Samsung has put out.
We haven’t covered the Galaxy Nexus and the plethora of rumors and released dates surrounding it because we would much rather just tell you that it’s released then get your hopes up every other day. So with that said, the Galaxy Nexus is now available on the Verizon Network and we are already seeing online retailers dropping the prices to attract customers.
Unfortunately there is a bit of bad news today if you happen to own a Samsung Galaxy SII device and were hoping to play Grand Theft Auto III when it’s released for Android. Rockstar Games has come out to confirm that it will not be supporting that particular device.
EA’s rather awesome game, Dead Space, has been out on the Xperia Play for a little while now exclusively which, unfortunately, leaves the rest of us just sitting here watching gameplay videos or perhaps stealing a friend’s Xperia Play to actually enjoy Dead Space. It seems though that EA is gearing up to release it onto more Android devices soon.
Our readers in Europe and Asia have one more device to consider when shopping for that new Android phone soon. Called the Samsung Galaxy R, this new phone is packed with a Tegra 2 dual-core chip inside it and comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread when you buy it.
Gameloft seems to be working on bring more support for their games to more Android devices. Recently they added the Droid X2 to the roster, albeit one game so far, and now it seems as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has gotten support as well. Unlike other Android devices, this didn’t take long at all.
