Gearbox Software and 2K Games recently launched the much-anticipated Battleborn, a hero-driven FPS/MOBA hybrid on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game has been praised for its fun heroes, unique mix of gameplay and fun aesthetic. While the FPS/MOBA gameplay won’t be making its way to the mobile realm anytime soon, the unique world of Battleborn will be, in the form of the new android game from 2K Games, Battleborn Tap.

Released by Gangfort, this particular game of the same name is a 2D team-based multiplayer shooter. Seeming to draw its inspiration from the likes of Team Fortress 2, with Gangfort actually having a lot of the same features as TF2, but implementing them differently. With that said, this game uses the ever popular retro-pixel look and is played exclusively in 2D.
Indie developers Power Up Game Studio have released their debut Android game today called Orbitron Arcade. This particular game is a fast-paced arcade shooter that takes place out in space. Out there in the depths of space, somewhere between the edge of the Old Galaxy and beyond the Federation borders, is a dark moon called Orbitron, which isn’t a friendly place.

Games Workshop has teamed up with developers Pixel Toys to make a new Warhammer 40K game for mobile devices. Officially called Warhammer 40K: Freeblade, this will be a very different type of Warhammer 40K than we have seen for mobile devices so far.
Goodnight Games has released their new old school style side-scrolling arcade game called Ernie vs Evil. This particular game has players assuming control of Ernie, who is apparently the only person on Earth who can defeat the greatest evil we have ever known and faced, Bob.
Re-released by mobrix, Gundbird II is a classic bullet hell shooter from the Gunbird franchise, that was originally released in 1998. Like other entries in this genre, players will fly overhead, dodging enemy projectiles while shooting down as many as possible. In this game, players are controlling a flying character, as opposed to a gunship of sorts.
Released by Laika Studio, Shoujo Sniper is a shooting game with anime characters, who have been spun off of the anime dating sim Shoujo City. Players will assume the role of one of two gals, Laika and Anette, who have enlisted to help resist an alien invasion in the city of Tokyo.
Released by Crescent Moon Games, Operation Dracula is a new entry into the Bullet Hell genre for Android. As one might expect for the classification of Bullet Hell, players will pilot a fighter from the top-down perspective, and trade bullets with the enemy while being outgunned in the most obscene of manners.
Contra is a classic arcade side-scrolling shooter from the early console/arcade days that was known for being on the rather challenging side of things when talking about its difficulty level. Since the original game’s release, there have been a few add-ons to the franchise, all of which being challenging in their own right and keeping that difficulty level tradition alive.
