Triolith Entertainment are not really newcomers to the Android gaming scene, with two titles to their name before this. Megatroid is the third game from the Swedish-based developers to hit Google Play. As a platforming game, how does Megatroid fare? Read on to find out.

Way back in the beginning of this year we talked about Triolith Entertaiment’s next game to be heading to Android called Megatroid. Back then it was in beta format and has recently been released onto the Google Play store in what appears to be a live location-specific beta or something along those lines.
Yesterday we talked about a new game coming from Triolith Entertainment called Megatroid which is a 3D platformer in similar style to the Megaman games. After playing it for a few minutes it really does reflect a lot of the mechanics found from Megaman including double jumping, wall jumping and wall grabbing.
Triolith Entertainment developed one of our past Hidden Gem games called Wisp and now they look to be gearing up to release a new game called Megatroid. Before they do that though that want to host a web-based open beta where anyone can participate to help test out the core game mechanics.
A lot of game developers release some pretty great games that unfortunately don’t get a lot of exposure on the Android Market. Sometimes it’s due to a lot of games being uploaded to the market making the ‘Just in’ category a fast-paced game itself. Other times it could just be lack of media announcements or just being passed over by users.
