Back in December 2014 we reported on Sonic Runners coming to mobile this year which is being developed by the Sonic Team instead of SEGA actually doing it. Unfortunately, when we reported on the game, there were very little details available at that time. In fact there basically wasn’t any at all. Today we have a bit more to go on including an actual trailer.

A new Shoot ’em Up, or Shmup for short, is heading our way at the end of this month called Son of Light. Developed by Uncommon Games, this new Shmup was apparently inspired by the gameplay found in another title called Knightmare Tower.
[Update: Release Date] More tactical RPG goodness is heading to Android next month with Swap Heroes 2
While tactical-style RPGs are not really a new thing when it comes to any gaming platform including Android, it seems that lately there has been a bit of a surge in tactical RPGs making their way to Google Play. Swap Heroes 2 is another one that will be making its way to Android next month and it looks like it will be pretty fun to play.
Introversion Software has done pretty well for itself with their Prison Architect on Steam for PC gamers. You may be familiar with the company’s hacking themed game Uplink which landed on Android some time ago. Well it looks like Prison Architect will be making the jump from PC to mobile devices and this includes Android.
We have dug up some additional details regarding the upcoming Duke Nukem 3D: Hail to the King Collection from Voidpoint that will be landing onto Google Play sometime in Q1 2015. As we mentioned in our original article, Voidpoint hasn’t come up with a specific price point yet for the collection but we do now have confirmation that there will not, at all, be any IAPs. We did mention that the entire collection would be included in the launch but considering the amount of games in it, we wanted to make sure it would be available for one price.
There is a lot of talk lately that Rovio is having a less then stellar time right now with revenue. Many sites including ours have reported on it and it is basically due to the fact that you can only do so much with a franchise like Angry Birds before it gets tired and old. The company has relied so heavily on that franchise that it is now seeing less money than it has in some time. Of course they are still making a lot of money, just not as much as they used to make.
Yesterday was the day that Duke Nukem 3D was released onto PC back in 1996. That was 19 years ago and to celebrate this anniversary, Voidpoint will be bringing Duke Nukem 3D: Hail to the King Collection to Android this Spring. This is largely thanks to the fact that Voidpoint has acquired commercial rights to the original 1996 PC game Duke Nukem 3D, the expansions ‘Duke It Out in D.C,’ Duke Caribbean: Life’s a Beach,’ ‘Duke: Nuclear Winter’ as well as the N64’s original Duke Nukem 64 and PlayStation’s original Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown from 1997.

Today Ubisoft has announced that they will be teaming up with retro game porting specialists DotEemu to bring the turn-based strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic III to mobile devices. This new version of this game will feature HD graphics, bringing a bit more life to the game on mobile devices.
Gameloft has announced the next installment into the Dungeon Hunter franchise, officially called Dungeon Hunter 5, and along with this Gameloft has now made pre-launch registration live on the game’s official micro-site. Also, besides all of this, Gameloft has also released a Developer Diary video which does show some of the gameplay that will arrive with Dungeon Hunter 5.
Recently we posted about the new Need For Speed game heading our way called Need For Speed: No Limits. While the game looks pretty good and everyone is surely resigned to the fact that there will be IAPs in it, since this is EA after all, what may turn a lot of people off from the game before it is even released is the fact that players will have to buy gas.
