Total ArKade Software have released an update for AbraWordabra, which was developed by a former game developer from Halfbrick, this rather humorous puzzle game for Android and iOS has a whole new gameplay mode which brings with is a bunch of new levels as well.
So, all the news and commotion about the OUYA and it’s supposedly magical, revolutionary controller got me thinking about what actually using the OUYA would be like. In the promotional video, the footage shows Yves Behar and the design team working on the controller for OUYA. From what was shown, it seems like there is a ton of hard work, large amounts of care and smart design going into the feel and ergonomics of the controller.
While the world debates on whether or not OUYA will be a success, one of the first confirmed games have been announced for the Android based home gaming console. Developer Robotoki whom you should know by now from our previous coverage of their upcoming game Human Element have confirmed that they will be releasing an exclusive game for the OUYA system.
I’m probably going to date myself with this post but hey, I’m not that old. However, I’ve dropped my fair share of quarters in the arcades and owned pretty much every major console that has been released. So when Brave Game Studios dropped us a note about their new game Retro Olympics, I instantly had flashbacks of the old school sports games I so greatly sucked at playing.
War Drum Studios, who are responsible for a couple of other games on Android that happened to be published under a different name, have just released their newest RTS game called Auralux. This game has been sitting on Tegra Zone saying ‘coming soon’ for a couple of months now.
Back during GDC 2012 we filmed and tested a bunch of demos that ARM has running at their booth which was to show off the Mali chip. Recently they released a video showing off Timbuktu, a racing game with some pretty nice eye candy. Today they have released a slew of videos showing off the Mali chip once again.
Madfinger Games’ newest piece of visual eye candy will be receiving an update soon and a pretty extensive one at that. Among the new content and features heading our way is support for the Adreno 205 GPU which means the Xperia Play will now be supported as well as other devices that use that GPU.
Glu has released a new game onto the Google Play store after a bit of a short pause with releases. This new game, called Mutant Roadkill, is pretty much as the title suggests. You will be driving around a post-apocalyptic world running over mutants and other hazards that are in your way.
While we wait for Shadowrun Returns to arrive on Android after it was successfully Kickstarter, we now get to check out a new Shadowrun games that is also looking for funding but in this instance it will be an MMORPG called Shadowrun Online, or SRO for short.
