LucasArts is one of those studios that I really appreciate. Twenty some years ago, they released a string of excellent adventure games that went WAY outside of the bread and butter of Star Wars. Day of the Tentacle was one such game. Set up as the sequel to Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle carries over many (though not all) of its characters, and takes place five years later. I really enjoyed this game when I was in High School, and was thrilled to be able to play it again over the last few weeks, via GeForce Now.
The folks over at Disney are kickstarting the traditional holiday sale season by placing a few of their games in the Play Store at big discounts. These discounts range from 50-80%, bringing the price of each title down to only $0.99.
Over the last 6 months there’s been plenty of still shots from Morphite appearing online, and a scant handful of clips, but now we’ve received the first full trailer, and it’s every bit as glorious as expected- a beautiful cel-shaded No Man’s Sky by way of Metroid Prime. Developed by We’re Five Games and Crescent Moon Games Morphite is a tremendously ambitious, procedurally generated 3D action-exploration game complete with cutscenes and full-voice acting.

Together they’ve combined his hilarious viral musical hit Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Cat with bizarre nature of The Battle Cats to produce a remixed version, aptly titled Cat-Pineapple-Apple-Cat!
