EA and Popcap have announced a new content update has just arrived for Plants vs Zombies 2 which is titled Summer Nights. This update brings with it Pinata Party themed levels to the game and, like any other update that brings levels to Plants vs Zombies 2, there are also new plants and zombies to deal with as well.

Chukong Technologies has announced that Cocos2d-JS has merged into Cocos2d-x to form Voltron… er… the new Cocos2d v3.7 update which is now available for download. For those of you not familiar with Cocos, this is basically one of the largest and most popular game development engines for mobile games. According to Chukong Technologies, Cocos now has over 490,000 registered mobile game developers and over 16,000 published titles.
Climax Studios announced awhile ago a new Virtual Reality game for the Samsung Gear VR called Bandit Six. You may remember us reporting on it when it was released. WeGo Interactive released a 3D arcade game called Cliffy Jump with features the same sort of isometric 3D visual styles as Crossy Road does. In fact there is a fair bit of inspiration found in Cliffy Jump that is largely thanks to Crossy Road, right down to the numerous characters you can find and play as. It is also just as addictive.
Operation Deimos is a new terrorist-filled shooting game that features a cubic-based pixel visual style to it. While this game does take the first-person perspective, it is actually a continuously side-scrolling gallery shooter, but a lot more animated than your typical gallery shooter title.
