It seems like Square Enix wants to dip their toes in the freemium waters and have launched a new version of their tower defense game Crystal Defenders. This new version, officially called Crystal Defenders Lite, is exactly like the original game except that it uses a pay-per-stage business model for those of you who don’t want to spend the $6.99 upfront for the full game.

We’ve had a ton of comments over the last month in our previous articles outlining some of the upcoming features for the next Minecraft: Pocket Edition update regarding when the update would actually be arriving. Well we finally have a bit more of a solid idea as to when 0.7.0 will arrive as well as a lot more details regarding the official multiplayer functionality that will arrive with this update. It isn’t exactly what you may be thinking it will be.
Everyone who is a Baldur’s Gate fan have been waiting patiently for the Android version of Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition to get released onto Google Play. Now it looks like we could be finally seeing the game getting released soon as Overhaul Games are going to sit down and have a hardcore jam session starting next week to get it fixed.
There is a new game heading our way which will allow players to shoot not one but six animals out of their face. Developed by indie studio Butterscotch Shenanigans, Towelfight 2: The Monocle of Destiny will be bringing this dual-joystick animal projecting fun to Android soon where you will be playing as Hardik, a suave, bearded man from India with a pet Pug named Bella.
So far we have seen comics and magazines brought over to the digital format for all of us to enjoy reading while on the go. However NARR8 is taking it a step further with their new application that brings with it interactive fiction across a variety of genres including fantasy, horror, anime and more. Each series is a lot more interactive than what you’re probably previously used to.
Back near the beginning of this month we talked about a game that would be heading our way at some point soon from Pixowl Inc called The Sandbox. Well for those of you who have been waiting patiently since then, your wait is now over and you can now start building pretty much whatever you want.
nVidia today decided to come out an officially announce the other chipset we’ve known up to now as Project Grey. We have reported on the Tegra 4 series having two chipsets for awhile now, one being codenamed Wayne (normal Tegra 4) and the other being Grey. Well Grey is now officially known as Tegra 4i and it is nVidia’s first integrated LTE Tegra processor.
We’ve been talking about the new series of pinball tables coming from Zen Studios themed around the Star Wars universe. Well now we have an official release date as well as some additional details that, if you’re planning on getting these tablets, you will want to know ahead of time.
Luma Arcade and Kerosene Games have a total of three more games that are currently under development and slated for release onto Android when they are done. Racer looks to be a joint project between Luma Arcade and Kerosene Games while The Harvest and Core appear to be from Luma Arcade themselves.
Kerosene Games and Luma Arcade look like they work on a fair amount of their games with a bit of a team effort. Both have had their hands dirty in Bladeslinger as well as a few upcoming games we will touch on later. Open-Reset is responsible for another game we’ve talked about in the past, and even had some hands-on time with, called Bounty Arms THD, which Kerosene Games is also helping out on.
